Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about our Necronomicon Artisan Edition, materials, care, and ordering.
Materials & Care
What type of latex do you use?
We use high-grade, premium natural rubber latex supplied by Monster Makers, a reputable supplier of materials for prop and special-effects work. We choose quality materials to capture the Necronomicon’s organic, skin-like texture and sculpted detail.
Will the latex cover fall apart?
No—the cover is not expected to fall apart with normal, careful handling and proper storage. We use premium natural latex and finish each cover by hand. Like any natural rubber material, latex can age over time; heat, direct sunlight, oils, and harsh chemicals can shorten its life. Quality materials and good care both matter.
How long will the cover last?
There is no single lifespan we can promise because display conditions, handling, and storage vary. Treat it as an artisan collectible: keep it indoors, away from direct sunlight and heat, and handle it gently.
Why use natural latex?
Natural latex lets us reproduce the flexible, organic, skin-like appearance that gives the Book of the Dead its character. The cover is individually hand-painted with acrylic and sealed with protective varnish.
How should I store or display my book?
Display or store it in a cool, dry indoor location away from direct sunlight, radiators, hot windows, and damp areas. Support the book properly and avoid stretching, squeezing, or placing heavy objects on the sculpted cover. Keep it away from oils, solvents, and sharp objects.
How do I clean the cover?
Gently remove dust with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Do not soak the book, scrub the painted surface, or apply household cleaners, alcohol, oils, or conditioners. Contact us before using any cleaning or preservation product on the finished cover.
Does it contain real latex?
Yes. The cover contains natural rubber latex. Please take this into account if you or someone who may handle the book has a known latex allergy.
The Book & Craftsmanship
Is this an officially licensed collectible?
Yes. Our Evil Dead II Necronomicon Artisan Edition is an officially licensed collectible. The film trademarks and copyrights belong to STUDIOCANAL S.A.S.
Is each book handmade?
Yes. Each book is crafted, assembled, painted, aged, and finished by hand in the USA. Traditional sculpting, painting, aging, and bookbinding techniques give every copy its own character.
Will my book look exactly like the photos?
Our photographs show actual items. Small variations in color, texture, painting, page aging, and finish are normal because each piece is individually made. These artisan characteristics are part of the collectible’s character.
What are the dimensions and what is inside?
The book measures approximately 8 × 10 inches. The premium presentation box is approximately 12 × 14 × 4 inches. The interior contains 62 thick, aged illustrated pages with artwork and imagery recreated from Evil Dead II, including the lost pages and prophetic imagery depicting Ash.
Is a display stand included?
A stand is included only when you select a listing or bundle that expressly includes one. Please review the product title, description, and your order summary before checkout. A stand shown in a display photo does not automatically mean it is included with every option.
Why does an artisan edition cost more than a mass-produced replica?
The price reflects licensed artwork and design, premium materials, and the hands-on work involved in sculpting, casting, painting, aging, assembly, and finishing. These books are made in small batches, with individual attention to each piece.
Can I open and handle it?
Yes, with care. Support the book when opening it, turn pages gently, and do not force the binding flat or pull on the sculpted cover. It is intended as a collector’s piece for careful handling and display.
Preorders & Payment
Is this a preorder, and when will it ship?
We are accepting preorders for the first 500 items. The current estimated shipping window is November 30–December 10, 2026. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date. Please check your product listing and order updates for the timing that applies to your purchase.
What is the difference between production time and shipping time?
Production or processing time comes before carrier transit time. In-stock items are prepared and shipped within 3 business days after payment is successfully processed. Preorder and back-order items follow the estimate stated on their listing. If an unexpected delay significantly affects the estimate, we will contact you with an update and available options.
Can I pay with Affirm or Klarna?
Eligible customers may see Affirm or Klarna at the payment step after entering delivery details. Availability depends on your location, order, and provider eligibility. Any installment terms, approvals, and charges are shown by the payment provider before you confirm. Use the payment methods displayed for your checkout.
How do I know my order went through?
Check for an order confirmation and keep your order number. If you do not see the confirmation, check your spam or promotions folder. Contact us with the name and email used for checkout if you need help locating your order; please do not send full payment-card details.
Can I change my address or cancel an order?
Contact us promptly with your order number and request. We will check the order’s status and explain the available options. Address changes may not be possible once a package has shipped.
Shipping, Returns & Support
Do you offer free U.S. shipping?
The current Necronomicon offer includes free shipping within the contiguous United States. Other destinations or products may have different rates. Review the shipping charges and available services shown at checkout before paying.
Do you ship internationally, and who pays import fees?
Yes, we ship to many international destinations. Available rates and services are shown at checkout. Customers are responsible for applicable customs duties, VAT, import taxes, and brokerage fees unless checkout states otherwise. Customs and local carriers can add transit time.
Will I receive tracking?
Tracking information is provided when available after your order ships. A shipping estimate is separate from production time and does not guarantee a particular arrival date.
Can I get expedited shipping or order for a gift deadline?
Contact us before ordering if you need a particular arrival date. Expedited international services such as FedEx or DHL may be available on request at additional cost. Faster shipping does not shorten the time needed to make a preorder or back-order item.
What is your return policy?
Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for items that are unused, undamaged, in their original condition and packaging, and still in the original sealed plastic wrap when delivered sealed. Contact us for authorization before sending anything back. Customers normally pay return shipping unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect. See our Shipping & Returns page for full details.
What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Contact us as soon as possible with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos of the item. For transit damage, include photos of the shipping box and packaging. Keep the item and original packaging while we review the issue and work with you on a resolution.
How are refunds issued?
Authorized returns are inspected after receipt. Approved refunds go to the original payment method. Original and expedited shipping charges are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or when the return results from our error. Your bank or provider may need additional time to post the refund.
